Business Heroes backend services are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with managed databases for account, assessment, and gameplay telemetry.

The simulation is a downloadable desktop application (Windows and macOS). Game data is transmitted to backend services via HTTPS with JWT-based authentication. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.

AI coaching and assignment review features run inside controlled cloud infrastructure. Student data is not used to train external AI models.

Business Heroes collects the following student data:

• Account information: name, email address (provided by faculty during roster upload)
• Gameplay data: in-simulation decisions, financial metrics, and performance scores
• Assessment data: assignment review notes, class summaries, and faculty-facing reports generated by the review workflow

We do not collect biometric data, location data, browsing history, or data from other applications. Student data is used solely for assessment and platform functionality.

We handle student education records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We operate as a “school official” under the institution’s direct control, processing student data solely for the educational purposes specified by the institution.

We are prepared to sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with institutional partners. Contact us at hello@visionaries.me to request DPA documentation.

For institutions subject to GDPR, we process personal data under the legal basis of contractual necessity (the institution’s agreement with us) and legitimate interest (providing the educational service). We support data subject access requests, data portability, and deletion requests.

Our primary data processing occurs on secure cloud infrastructure. For institutions requiring specific data residency arrangements, contact our team to discuss options.

We are committed to making Business Heroes accessible to all students. The web-based faculty dashboard and this marketing website follow WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.

The desktop simulation application includes configurable UI scaling, keyboard navigation support, and colorblind-friendly UI options. We are actively working to expand accessibility features and welcome feedback from institutions with specific requirements.

Business Heroes is a downloadable desktop application. For managed university environments, we support deployment via standard software distribution tools (SCCM, Intune, Munki).

The application communicates with our backend API over HTTPS (port 443). No inbound ports need to be opened. We can provide a list of required endpoints for firewall whitelisting.

LMS workflows for Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and similar systems can be scoped with institutional IT teams. Where a direct integration is not enabled, grade data can be exported from the faculty dashboard in CSV format.

We work with university procurement departments regularly and can provide:

We accept institutional purchase orders (POs), credit cards, and invoices with NET-30 terms.
