Challenge

What the institution needed

Khalifa University wanted students to move beyond textbook theory and experience the interconnected nature of business decisions firsthand. Faculty needed an engaging, hands-on tool that could bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world application - especially for engineering and science students with limited business exposure.

Use case

How Business Heroes was used

Visionaries ran a 6-week Business Heroes programme at Khalifa University in late 2025. Five undergraduate students (ages 19-22) managed food truck businesses in the simulation, making real-time decisions on pricing, marketing, inventory, and financial management. Faculty used the simulation to connect student decisions to academic goals, letting students learn through sustained experimentation and reflection rather than one-off instruction.
